Spoiler-light endings guide
All 5 endings in I Can Smell You from Here
What the game tells you before you play, what the psychological evaluation is really measuring, and how to reach more of the story without reading a walkthrough that somebody invented.
01What is confirmed
Five endings, and why a run is short
The official page states it plainly: choices matter, there are 5 endings, and every run ends with a psychological evaluation. The creator’s own average session estimate is about half an hour, which is what makes replaying for a different ending reasonable rather than exhausting.
v1.1 added special CG art for each ending, so the endings are not only different text: each one has its own painted scene.
- Endings
- 5, confirmed on the official page
- Special CG per ending
- Added in v1.1 (17 September 2026)
- Run length
- About half an hour
- Branching
- Choices matter; a run can be restarted at the main date scene while the OPTIONS menu is open
- Evaluation
- Shown at the end of every run
- Official walkthrough
- None published; the creator declines to post spoiler-heavy tips publicly
02The evaluation
What the psychological evaluation actually is
After a run, the game shows a psychological evaluation instead of a score. In the creator’s words: “a probably unnecessarily precise psychological evaluation that shows you how close you actually are to her heart each run”.
Read it as feedback on the choices you just made: it reflects how close your story is to winning her over, which in this game is the same thing as how well your lie is holding together. It is not a secret ending you can unlock, and it is not a grade out of ten.
The practical use is comparison. Finish a run, note the readout, then use the OPTIONS menu to branch from the main date scene and change one decision. If the readout moves, that choice matters.
On the official page’s comment section the creator describes the readout as an alignment chart with a dot for you and a dot for her, and adds that even the best runs only get close:
“if you mean the alignment chart: haha, the best runs I've tested could get super close on the top right but no, the dot that represents you, in NO possible outcome, overlaps hers”
Read that as the design intent behind the 5 endings: the scale is not a win/lose switch, and there is no hidden perfect ending where the two dots meet.
03From the creator
What the creator has said publicly about the endings
Three statements from the comment section of the official page, quoted in full. They are the reason this guide can stay useful without inventing anything.
The best hint in the game is her character
“I made sure to keep her character traits consistent throughout all branches as hints for what choices could work better than the others”
In other words the writing keeps Idimya recognisable in every timeline, and those consistent traits are the only hint the game gives you about which answers land better. Before you hold a choice, compare it with what she has already shown you about herself.
No public spoiler tips
“don't wanna leave spoiler heavy tips out here”
That is also why this page will not hand you a route list. The person who wrote the game decided not to publish one, and we are not going to publish it second-hand.
Author canon about the best outcome
“in my head canon: it's true. you can't fix her, that's the whole point. even if she sees you as an ally, it's only temporary and possibly she keeps you around because she sees you as useful, but would likely not see you as an equal, considering her self entitlement”
If you are deciding how much weight to give this page, that quote is the strongest statement available: an ally outcome exists in the game, and the creator frames it as temporary and transactional rather than happy. It explains the alignment chart above without naming a single ending.
04Method
How to see more endings without a walkthrough
-
Judge choices by her character, not by the wording
The creator’s own advice is that Idimya’s traits stay consistent across every branch, by design, and that those traits are the hint for which choices work better. If an answer would not survive a question she has already asked you, it probably will not work.
-
Finish one run honestly
Play it straight, without savescumming. Your first ending is the one your instincts produce, and it tells you which kind of liar you are.
-
Open the OPTIONS menu with TAB
You get 20 save slots and a trace of the choices you have already made. That trace is the only route map the game gives you, and it is a good one.
-
Branch from the main date scene
The game lets you restart a run at the main date scene, right before the choices start branching. Paying minutes instead of a full replay is the whole reason this is worth doing.
-
Change one decision per run
Keep everything else identical, hold the new option for a full second, and watch the evaluation at the end. One variable at a time is how you find out which choices actually split the story.
-
Keep your own record
Endings are revealed as you reach them, so write them down as you go. We do not name them here: that is the one thing this page refuses to spoil.
05Honesty policy
Why this page has no ending names or exact steps
Lots of sites list ending names for brand-new horror games within a day of release, usually by guessing from the code or copying each other. We are not doing that.
- The creator has published the number of endings and the evaluation mechanic, not a route list.
- We only state things that are visible on the official page, the devlog or the official screenshots.
- Nothing here is fan speculation presented as fact, and nothing is scraped from datamined strings.
- When a detail is verified, we add it and date the change.
If that is not what you wanted, the official itch.io page opens on itch.io links to the game’s own community, where players compare notes.
06Questions
Endings FAQ
How many endings does I Can Smell You from Here have?
5, stated on the official itch.io page. Each one has its own special CG art as of v1.1.
Can I see every ending in a single run?
A run ends in one ending, and the creator describes the game as being about meaningful choices rather than one fixed plot. The OPTIONS menu’s restart at the main date scene exists exactly so that a second run is cheap.
Is there an officially published ending list?
No. The official page and the devlog state the number of endings and describe the evaluation; they do not name the endings or publish a route list. That is why this page stays structural.
Will this guide ever spoil the endings?
Not silently. If verified ending details are added later, they will sit behind a clearly marked spoiler section, dated, so you can choose not to read them.
Do the endings depend on the psychological evaluation?
The evaluation is a readout shown after your choices, and the creator describes it as showing how close you actually are to her heart each run. Treat it as feedback on the run you just finished.
