She is the audience for the lie
The horror in I Can Smell You from Here is not a monster in a corridor. It is the arithmetic of a story you cannot stop telling: each answer has to survive the next question. Idimya is the person asking them.
That is why the game ends each run with an evaluation of how close you are to her rather than, say, a body count. She is the one you are trying to stay consistent in front of.
03Practical
Reading her during the date
Three habits keep a run from falling apart for boring reasons rather than interesting ones:
- Use the scroll wheel to re-read recent dialogue. It walks back to your previous save point or choice, which is exactly the range you need to keep a lie consistent (controls page).
- Save before a held confirm, not after. 20 slots is more than enough room.
- When the evaluation appears at the end, compare it with the last few choices you actually held — that is where the signal is.
On the official page’s comment section the creator confirms that Idimya’s character traits are kept consistent across every branch on purpose, and that they are the hint for which choices work better. The endings guide quotes that in full.

Does she have a route?
The official page describes a date with meaningful choices and five endings, not a multi-route dating sim, and it names no routes. Treat the branching as choices inside one date.
Can I date her differently on a second run?
Yes in the sense that choices matter and every run ends in one of the five endings. The OPTIONS menu lets you restart at the main date scene right before branching begins, which is the fastest honest way to try a different approach.
